Our Engineering & Transportation Department is looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator/Maintenance Worker II to join the team.
The main duties for these positions include plowing snow on priority roadways with a team of graders and loaders maintaining safe passage of traffic.
In addition to performing the work of a Maintenance Worker I, responsible for the repair, maintenance, installation and removal of the storm sewer system, raking asphalt on the paving crew and other similar duties. The position requires experience and skill in the maintenance, repair, and construction of the storm systems and assisting with the maintenance of records. Responsible for accurate record keeping of maintenance activities carried out and other duties as assigned.
The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
Starting salary HEO $38.87/MWII $36.42 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
