Job summary

Fox Harb’r Resort is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain large machinery along the Nova Scotia coast. The role involves site preparation, excavation, grading, lifting, and material handling while strictly following safety regulations and standards.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior heavy equipment experience, and valid certification papers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment is expected.
• Certified Heavy Equipment papers are required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maneuvering heavy equipment to remove and place materials.
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris and other materials.
• Observing safety codes at all times.
• Communicating with coworkers to clarify project specs.
• Reporting injuries and accidents to the manager.
• Advising on upgrades, repairs and replacements.
• Keeping the site clean and organized at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience operating a variety of heavyequipment.
• Certified Heavy Equipment papers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent vision or the use of prescribedlenses.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eyecoordination.
• A sound understanding of pertinent safetyguidelines
• Capacity to provide and follow direction
• Sharp decision-making skills, particularlywhen under pressure
