Job summary

Battlefield Equipment Rentals in Brantford, ON is seeking a full-time Mechanic Shop Unlicensed to maintain, diagnose, and repair construction equipment. You will service a diverse fleet, ensure safety and quality, and support the service team with efficient repairs.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Genie, Skyjack, and CAT equipment, plus strong diagnostic skills, customer focus, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Apprentices welcome.

Qualifications

• Experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic with diagnostic and repair skills on construction equipment (Genie, Skyjack, CAT).
• Strong customer service orientation and clear communication with customers.
• Familiarity with CAT ET/SIS is an asset; computer skills helpful for diagnosing issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and estimate repair costs accurately.
• Inspect rental equipment for proper operation and faults.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test to meet specs.
• Document service reports and support branch operations as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely repairs and service delivery.
