The Opportunity

Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical knowledge to customers. Performs tasks related to testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and reconditioning heavy equipment, transmissions, engines (gasoline and diesel), and engine components, typically on-site at customer locations or roadside assistance.

The Role
  1. Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
  2. Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs.
  3. Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site.
  4. Recondition and remanufacture components as required.
  5. Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  6. Communicate servicing needs with Branch Supervisor/Manager.
  7. Complete service paperwork and update service records.
  8. Fill out warranty information and work orders.
  9. Participate in manufacturer and in-house training, including safety training.
  10. Comply with health and safety practices and perform duties safely.
  11. Work with manufacturer online support.
  12. Conduct housekeeping duties.
  13. Maintain a professional company image.
  14. Meet requirements of hazard assessments.
  15. Test and verify electrical components and transfer switch operations where required.
The Candidate
  • Education: Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years.
  • Knowledge: Strong communication skills; proven mechanical aptitude; customer service skills; analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred experience with Hitachi and John Deere equipment.
