Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician for our Milton Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment.
  2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  3. Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
  5. Continuously assess service task hazards to ensure work is performed safely and according to standards.
  6. Use computer applications (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspections, and diagnoses.
  7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
