First Student in Prince Albert, SK is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This full-time, permanent role offers day shifts, Monday to Friday, and the potential for career growth within a safety-focused environment.

We provide a $5,000 new hire bonus and a $5,000 relocation bonus, plus an hourly wage of $39-$50 based on experience and certification. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Red Seal) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with diesel engines and heavy vehicles.
• Own a basic mechanic’s tool set.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on school buses and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions.
• Complete work orders and documentation.
• Respond to mobile service calls.
