Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to support our customer at Artemis Blackwater mine site in Northern British Columbia. You will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on CAT mining equipment and interface with customers and the Finning team.

The role operates on a 14x14 continuous shift with days and nights. Ideal candidates hold Interprovincial Journeyperson certification, 3+ years mining experience, a valid class 5 license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in a mining environment.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a recent clean abstract.
• CAT mining equipment experience is an asset.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair independently; operate in a remote mine environment.

Responsibilities

• Safety-conscious team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs independently.
• Interface with customers, products and sales support.
• Work with the supervisor on various tasks as needed.
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment.
• Perform component intervention diagnosis and repairs.
• Perform field runner duties and in-mine repairs as needed.
