Job summary

Finning International Inc. is seeking Heavy Duty Mechanics/Electricians to service CAT C-175 prime power units in a powerhouse environment. The role requires diagnosing engines, generators, and PLCs, using CAT SIS/ET, and maintaining daily service reports.

Ideal candidates have Interprovincial HET or Dual Ticket Electrical with strong power generation experience. Travel to marshalling points and rotation shifts are part of the schedule, with camp accommodations and travel support provided.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician or Dual Ticket Electrical and HET Certified.
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Power generation and Caterpillar genset experience preferred.
• Experience with Woodward/SCADA/DSLC/emcp assets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and repair Caterpillar generators in a powerhouse setting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot C175 engine or genset repairs.
• Repair engines, generator, fuel system, heat exchangers and PLC controllers.
• Utilize CAT SIS and ET daily; complete service documentation.
• Collaborate with customers, sales support and Finning team as required.

## **Position Overview:**Finning is seeking Heavy Duty Mechanics / Electrician Dual Ticket (preferred) to support our Mining client in Nunavut. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and CAT C-175 Prime power units.
