Job summary

Kal Tire in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking a Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprentice. This full-time, permanent role offers hands-on training alongside experienced technicians to develop skills in servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment.

The position is based at our Edmonton store (14720 Yellowhead Trail NW) with mentorship to become a certified technician. Starting wage is $30.30 per hour.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Work with a team to ensure quality and safety standards.

Job description

As a Heavy-Duty Mechanic Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to develop your skills in servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role provides hands-on training and mentorship, ensuring you gain the expertise needed for a successful career in the trade. This full-time, permanent position is available at our Edmonton, Alberta store (14720 YELLOWHEAD TRAIL NW).
