Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Field Service Technician for our Edmonton, AB location. In this full-time role, you will remove, install, and repair tires on passenger and light trucks, fleets and on-site industrial vehicles, delivering top-quality service while upholding safety standards.

You will operate service tools safely, collaborate with a team, and contribute to client satisfaction and operational success at our Yellowhead Trail store.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with Air Brake Endorsement for on-site service and roadside tasks.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Adheres to safety protocols and wears required PPE at all times.
• Strong technical skills and proactive approach to tire and equipment challenges.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections and maintenance, including inflation checks and tread wear assessment.
• Communicate services to customers and provide repair recommendations to improve vehicle performance.
• Deliver professional fleet, roadside, and on-site tire services for commercial vehicles, minimizing downtime.
• Uphold Kal Tire’s safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks.

In this hands-on role, you'll perform passenger and light truck, fleet and OTR vehicle tire removal, installation and repairs and deliver top-quality service whilst upholding the highest safety standards. This full-time, permanent position is available at our 14720 Yellowhead Trail, Edmonton store.

Responsibilities

• Communicate services directly with customers to provide insights and recommendations for repairs and maintenance to improve vehicle performance
• Deliver professional fleet, roadside, and off-site tire services on commercial and industrial vehicles, minimizing downtime with fast and efficient support
• Adhere to Kal Tire’s safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks to ensure customer satisfaction and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and industrial tire installation, repair, and maintenance is considered an asset but not required
• Hold a valid driver’s license with Air Brake Endorsement for on-site service and roadside assistance tasks
• Excelling in a physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height and perform tasks efficiently
• Demonstrating a safety-first mindset by adhering to all safety protocols, wearing required PPE, and promoting a secure workplace culture
• Possessing strong technical skills and a proactive approach to solving tire and equipment challenges
