Job summary

Kal Tire in Sparwood, BC is seeking an Apprentice Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience in tires, brakes, and alignments. You will learn on the tools with mentorship from experienced technicians and have a clear path for advancement through apprenticeship levels.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an Automotive Technician program or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and movement.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Committed to working safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install, remove, repair, and balance tires for passenger and light truck vehicles.
  • Perform brake services, shock replacements, and wheel alignments.
  • Assist with inspections and basic mechanical services (oil, lube and filter).
  • Diagnose tire and basic mechanical issues with support from the team.
  • Operate shop equipment, including alignment and flush machines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.

Apprentice Automotive Technician / Tire, Brake and Alignment Technician

In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, developing your skills in tires, brakes, and alignments. You’ll gain real experience on the tools, with the training and support to keep progressing through your apprenticeship. Responsibilities
