Maxim Truck & Trailer in Prince Albert, SK is seeking Heavy Duty Truck Technicians to perform diagnostics, servicing and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The role requires working independently to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction in a dynamic dealership setting.

Ideal candidates are 3rd year Heavy Duty Apprentices or Journeyman with strong problem-solving skills, basic computer knowledge, and a commitment to ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman designation is required.
• 18+ months of apprenticeship toward journeyman is expected.
• Safety inspections certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• 2Identify potential future problems and communicate with service manager.
• 3Recommend repairs or replacement parts as appropriate.
• 4Road test units to verify quality of work.
• 5Document repairs and issues on the repair order.
• 6Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY DUTY TRUCK TECHNICIANS for our Prince Albert Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete the diagnostics, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers. This is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team!

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
• Wednesday to Tuesday, 7am-7pm, 1 week on/1 week off

Responsibilities:

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers
• Identify potential and future problems
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Ideal Qualifications:

• 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman Designation
• Safety Inspections Certificate an asset
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
• Valid Class One with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
• Team player with strong commitment to the customer
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
• Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tools
• Reliable transportation to and from work (no bus service)
