Job summary

Maxim Brandon, MB is seeking a Truck & Transport Mechanic to join our team. Earn up to $46.00 per hour and enjoy relocation assistance options.

Hours are Mon-Fri 8-5 or 9-6 with rotating Saturdays every three weeks. The role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with a focus on preventative and corrective maintenance. Strong English communication and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Truck & Transport Mechanic
• Journeyperson Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• PMVI certification (Periodic Mandatory Vehicle Inspections)
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Interest in upgrading skills in the trade
• English communication (verbal & written)

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers (when required)
• Complete preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
• Update the Service Manager on estimated completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• 5+ years? experience as a Truck & Transport Mechanic
• Journeyperson Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• PMVI certification (Periodic Mandatory Vehicle Inspections)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to Interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in the trade
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred

• Cummins Medium Duty Engine certification (ISB, B7.7, L Series)
• Cummins Heavy Duty Engine certification (X15)
• MPI issued School Bus PMVI Certification
• Diamond Certification
• Valid Manitoba Class 3 Driver?s License (Class 1 an asset)
