Job summary

Maxim Truck & Trailer in Prince Albert, SK is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair heavy duty trucks and trailers. The role requires independent work, customer focus, and a commitment to quality within a busy service department.

The successful candidate will join a team at Maxim’s Prince Albert location and enjoy opportunities for training, advancement, and competitive compensation. Work hours are Monday–Friday, with occasional extended shifts and a week-based schedule.

Qualifications

• 3rd Year Heavy Duty Apprentice to Journeyman designation required or pursued.
• Safety Inspections Certificate an asset.
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade.
• Valid Class One with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests).
• Team player with strong commitment to the customer.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn in-house programs.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Familiar with the tools of the trade and personally equipped with adequate supply of hand tools.
• Reliable transportation to and from work (no bus service).

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Identify potential and future problems.
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts.
• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes.
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed.
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY DUTY TRUCK TECHNICIANS for our Prince Albert Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete the diagnostics, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers. This is a great opportunity to offer outstanding customer satisfaction while working as a valuable member of Maxim’s prospering team!

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
• Wednesday to Tuesday, 7am-7pm, 1 week on/1 week off
