Big Country Equipment is urgently seeking licensed Heavy Duty Mechanics for a 14x14 rotational field-service role in Northern British Columbia. You will diagnose and repair heavy mining and construction equipment on-site, using company-provided tools, and work with brands like CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, and John Deere.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, a provincial trade certification (Red Seal preferred), and strong troubleshooting capabilities.
Location: Northern, British Columbia
Base Rate: $ 62.50/hr.
OT: 4 hours daily, paid out at $93.75/hr.
Schedule: 14X14 - 12-hour days
Night Shift Premium: $1.25/hr.
Accommodations: Company housing is provided at no additional cost
Flights Paid: Yes, fly into the location from any major airport in Canada
Tools Provided: Tools will be provided
Travel Time: Paid to and from the site daily and at each end of your set

Big Country Equipment is hiring multiple experienced licensed Heavy Duty Mechanics (Equipment Technicians) to perform field service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mining and construction equipment. This is a rotational field-service opportunity working a 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule. The successful technician will troubleshoot and repair off-road heavy equipment using company-provided tools while supporting customer operations safely and professionally. Licensed Truck and Transport Mechanics and Agricultural Equipment Technicians may also be considered with strong, relevant experience repairing heavy or off-road equipment.
