Best Metals in Fredericton, NB, is looking for an energetic, safety-minded heavy equipment operator to join our team. You will operate excavators and loaders and perform routine maintenance while working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate various pieces of equipment, primary excavators and loaders
• Clean and lubricate equipment, refill equipment tanks
• Conduct pre-operational checks
• Secure special attachments
• Perform minor repairs on equipment
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to management
• Other labor duties as necessary

Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years experience with heavy equipment operation
• Valid heavy equipment operator license
• Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently
• Safety driven mindset
• Clear communication skills
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Saturdays as required from 8am - 12pm
