Job summary

GardaWorld in Winnipeg is seeking a Healthcare Protection Security Guard (Qualified person) to patrol hospital environments, monitor sensitive areas, and de-escalate incidents while maintaining a safe, secure setting for patients, staff, and visitors. You will hold a Manitoba security license, be authorized to work in Canada, and participate in GardaWorld Academy training.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Holds a valid Manitoba security license.
• First aid certification an asset or willing to obtain.
• Use of Force is an asset or willing to obtain.
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in the security industry is an asset.
• Tactical experience is an asset.
• Customer service oriented.
• Leadership and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Lead a team of trained security guards.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Respond to code and emergency situations.
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.

As a Healthcare Protection Security Guard ( Qualified person) in a Hospital setting , physical ability and ability to De- evolve situation is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling and de-escalate situations in a Hospital environment.
