Job summary

Scotiabank Canada is seeking an Healthcare & Professional Specialist to manage and grow a healthcare and professional banking portfolio. You will acquire new relationships, retain and expand existing ones, and drive asset, deposit, and revenue growth while meeting retention and referral goals.

You will develop knowledge of customers, provide specialized financial advice, and collaborate with COIs and internal partners to deliver Total Solutions across lending, payments, and investments.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business law, and economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven expertise in the healthcare and professional segment within designated marketplace.
• Expert knowledge of Small Business products and services, selling approach and tools.
• Thorough knowledge of risk management policies and processes, and legal and security documentation for small business products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of assigned healthcare and professional customers including financial position and terms of services.
• Provide specialized healthcare and professional customers expertise and business/finance advice.
• Develop and maintain business relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and referral sources.
• Respond to service requests, guide customers in service use, and ensure satisfaction.
• Plan relationship-building activities to create sales opportunities.
• Identify prospects using multiple channels and marketing seminars.
• Collaborate with Branch Managers and Wealth Management Consultants for Total Solutions.
• Assist and advise partners with structuring marketing activities to close deals.
