Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Healthcare Operations Centre Dispatcher to coordinate Security Officers across multiple healthcare facilities in Alberta. You will manage schedules, respond to staffing shortages, and ensure seamless coverage while maintaining professional communication with guards and management.

This role requires strong organization, calm decision-making under pressure, and the ability to learn scheduling software like winTEAM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Full availability to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays on an on-call basis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to quickly learn scheduling software such as winTEAM.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain Security Guard schedules using scheduling software (winTEAM).
• Respond to shift cancellations, call-offs and urgent staffing shortages.
• Coordinate shift coverage to keep healthcare facilities fully staffed.
• Communicate professionally with guards, supervisors and management about schedules and leave requests.
• Collaborate with Alberta Protective Services Operations Centre to support requirements.
• Monitor overtime and provide weekly reports to management.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and real-time updates.
• Provide exceptional customer service under pressure during high-volume periods.
