Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a Healthcare Communicator to support a biotechnology client from Canada on a remote basis. You will handle inbound/outbound communications, document and triage medical information requests, adverse events, and product quality complaints, and ensure HIPAA privacy standards are upheld.

The role requires strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask across programs.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards and adhere to program scripts and guidelines.
• Document and triage Medical Information Requests, Adverse Events, and Product Quality Complaints per guidelines.
• Complete literature fulfillment to customers.
• Communicate effectively with callers and simplify medical terminology as needed.
• Protect patient privacy under HIPAA and company policies.
• Support administrative duties and multiple projects as needed.

Healthcare Communicator, Canada Remote

Inizio Engage has a long-standing partnership with a leading Biotechnology company, across Commercial, Patient Solutions and Medical Affairs businesses. Representing clients on a variety of projects via inbound/outbound telecommunication. This is your opportunity to join Inizio Engage and represent a top biotechnology company!

Key Objectives

• Maintain excellent quality standards for all client programs; adhere to program scripts and guidelines. Accurately collect information required by individual programs and correctly capture in specific program databases.
• Completely and accurately document and/or triage all Medical Information Requests, Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints in compliance with Inizio, Client and Federal guidelines and regulations, for all contact channel types, including but not limited to phone and email.
• Complete literature fulfillment to customers
• Exhibit effective communication and tele-management skills.
• Converse with callers in an empathetic manner and facilitate the callers in their ability to understand medical terminology, as needed.
• Possess effective organizational skills, including working with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adhere to all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Display flexibility within department to maximize utilization, including performing administrative and non-telecommunication duties as needed.
• Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Job Holder Specification

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Competency with a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Pleasant telephone manner
• Ability to join frequent meetings and calls without disruption or disconnecting
• Proficiency in reviewing intake documents thoroughly and entering information in database with little to no errors.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel
