Inizio Engage is seeking a Medical Information Specialist Team Lead for a Canada Remote role. You will lead a small team, ensure program quality, and accurately collect and enter information into program databases to support multiple client programs.

Responsibilities include documenting medical information requests, adverse events, and product quality complaints; performing literature fulfillment; and maintaining HIPAA privacy and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to lead and guide others; multitask across projects.

Medical Information Specialist Team Lead, Canada Remote

Key Objectives

• Maintain excellent quality standards for all client programs; adhere to program scripts and guidelines.
• Accurately collect information required by individual programs and correctly capture in specific program databases.
• Completely and accurately document and/or triage all Medical Information Requests, Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints in compliance with Inizio, Client and Federal guidelines and regulations, for all contact channel types, including but not limited to phone and email.
• Complete literature fulfillment to customers.
• Exhibit effective communication and tele-management skills.
• Converse with callers in an empathetic manner and facilitate the callers in their ability to understand medical terminology, as needed.
• Possess effective organizational skills, including working with multiple projects simultaneously.
• Adhere to all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Display flexibility within department to maximize utilization, including performing administrative and non-telecommunication duties as needed.
• Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Job Holder Specification

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and guide others.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Competency with a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Pleasant telephone manner.
• Ability to join frequent meetings and calls without disruption or disconnecting.
• Proficiency in reviewing intake documents thoroughly and entering information in database with little to no errors.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision making.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple parallel projects with strong time management skills.
• Ability to join frequent meetings and calls without disruption or disconnecting.
