Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience managing capital projects.
• Proven people leadership experience with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with MOH capital planning processes and healthcare redevelopment.
• Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code and CSA Standards.
• Procurement methods for design and construction, including CCDC contracts.
• Space planning strategies and budget cost control.
• Risk management and mitigation in healthcare construction projects.
• Infrastructure drawings and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of capital project professionals.
• Establish priorities, allocate resources, and monitor workload across projects.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Manage departmental operations, performance objectives, and development plans.
• Oversee planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, occupancy.
• Ensure projects are on time, within budget, and meet scope/quality.
• Partner with clinical/operational leaders to identify business needs and space planning.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures; monitor financials.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, CSA, AODA; promote best practices.
