Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto is undertaking a major redevelopment and expansion, including a new Long-term Care Development and a New Patient Care Tower. As Senior Project Manager, Facilities and Operations Integration, you will lead the NYG team through planning, design, implementation and commissioning to deliver a high-impact healthcare infrastructure project.

You will collaborate with hospital staff, consultants, contractors and vendors, ensuring operational readiness and alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, project management or construction management or equivalent.
• Master’s degree or professional designation preferred.
• PMP certificate required or in progress.
• Experience in managing building systems and infrastructure in large healthcare settings.
• Facilities/PM certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in capital projects.
• Experience with healthcare systems planning, design, and regulatory approvals.
• Strong communication and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project leadership and direct work of project teams through the lifecycle.
• Represent facilities requirements in technical and design workstreams for healthcare infrastructure.
• Ensure milestones are achieved on-budget and on-time with regular status updates.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and senior sponsors.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule, including financial reporting with Finance.
• Develop change management plans to support operations and transition readiness.
• Assess feasibility and provide recommendations on budget, scope and schedule.
• Lead project close-out and post-occupancy evaluation focusing on commissioning outcomes.
