Job summary

Circle of Care in Toronto, Ontario seeks a dedicated Manager, Health, Safety and Wellness to lead the agency’s health, safety and wellness programs. This full-time 12-month contract role is hybrid, with 34-hour weeks and on-call duties, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

The position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge and collaboration across teams to promote a healthy workplace culture aligned with our mission and values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Human Resources with focus on health and safety, DEI and wellness, including leadership experience.
• Experience in non-profit or community health care is an asset.
• Knowledge of WSIB, OHSA legislation and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate health, safety and wellness programs and training.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and internal policies; engage across departments.
• Oversee injury/illness claims, return-to-work processes and cost-control initiatives.
• Lead DEI initiatives and monitor organizational inclusion, bias and harassment issues.
• Coordinate with external partners and manage relationships with senior leadership.
