Job summary

Altis Technology seeks a Manager, Health, Safety and Wellness to lead programs enhancing employee well-being, workplace safety, and organizational culture. You will partner with leaders to build initiatives for a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment.

The role covers health, safety, wellness, DEI, disability management, and HR collaboration within a 12-month contract. Experience in non-profit settings and strong stakeholder influence are valued.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience focused on health and safety, wellness, and DEI, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety legislation, WSIB case management, and return-to-work programs.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, Microsoft 365, and reporting tools to analyze trends and support decision-making.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders across multiple departments.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within a non-profit, healthcare, or unionized environment is considered an asset.

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of health, safety, wellness, and DEI programs that support a healthy workplace culture.
  • Oversee WSIB claims management, return-to-work programs, and absence management while ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide guidance on occupational health and safety, workplace wellness, and employee well-being.
  • Manage the Joint Health and Safety Committee, workplace investigations, audits, reporting, and accreditation activities.
  • Analyze organizational trends and develop recommendations that strengthen health, safety, and wellness outcomes.
  • Coach and mentor team members while fostering collaboration and accountability across the HR function.

Job description

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Language: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

Duration: 12-Month Contract
