Job summary

ATCO Energy Systems is seeking a Health and Safety Programs Advisor in Calgary/Edmonton, AB. The role supports health and safety initiatives across the organization, focusing on compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement within the Health and Safety Management System.

The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, lead incident investigations, and help deliver training and safety programs while ensuring alignment with OHS requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Occupational Health and Safety Programs
• Knowledge of OHS Act/Regulations and CSA Standards
• Strong analytical skills to monitor safety performance and trends
• Ability to develop training materials for Health and Safety programs
• Experience with formal incident investigation methodologies

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation and improvements of the Health and Safety Management System
• Collaborate with functions to identify and evaluate H&S risks and implement solutions
• Assist in the development and rollout of health and safety initiatives
• Provide OHS subject matter expertise
• Lead incident investigations and support injury management
• Support audits related to OHS management system conformity and COR certification
• Assist in contractor management processes
• Identify opportunities for Health and Safety improvements across the organization
• Audit contractor compliance with ATCO policies and OHS requirements
• Provide OHS expertise and support Fitness for Work program
