Job summary

Engineered Air in Calgary is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support the ongoing improvement of our safety program and maintain a safe, compliant workplace. This in-office role reports to the Health and Safety Supervisor with hours Monday to Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• CRSP or CRST designation preferred; willingness to pursue.
• Safety Officer designation (MSO/NSO) preferred.
• Train-the-trainer certification in forklift, overhead crane, scissor lift, fall protection, and rigging.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health and safety training, including certifications and new hire orientations.
• Develop and update toolbox meetings, memos, training courses, bulletins, SWP's, HAA's & policies.
• Support JHSC with education and resources.
• Update safety matrices and statistics accurately.
• Ensure incidents are reported and assist with WCB claims.
• Address non-compliance and hazards with corrective actions.
• Conduct facility inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain Safety Boards and weekly Days without Lost Time Injuries statistics.
