Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator

Position Overview

Reporting to the HSE Manager, the Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator will manage programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support safety and environmental program implementation and compliance.
2. Conduct risk, hazard, and physical demand analyses.
3. Maintain training records and schedule HSE meetings and training.
4. Monitor adherence to safety protocols among employees, visitors, and contractors.
5. Develop, implement, and evaluate safety programs and policies.
6. Conduct safety training, inspections, investigations, and audits, and develop corrective actions.
7. Update manuals and training materials, and mentor employees on safety practices.
8. Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion.
9. Maintain procedures and work instructions in ETQ, updating from markups.
10. Assist in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree and certification/diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• 1-3 years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-management, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of OHSA regulations and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Benefits and Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $47,000 to $64,000, based on experience and skills. The role includes participation in a quarterly incentive program, comprehensive benefits, bonuses, shift premiums, educational assistance, and a supportive work environment.
