We are seeking a talented On-site Health, Safety, and Environment Lead to join our team at Accelera by Cummins Inc in Mississauga, ON.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a positive safety culture: Demonstrate safety awareness and coach others.
• Engage employees: Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Provide technical expertise: Improve hazard prevention, risk control, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support daily operations: Resolve complex technical issues related to health, safety, and environment.
• Lead hazard and risk assessments: Identify improvement opportunities and compliance gaps.
• Design and maintain hazard prevention systems: Reduce potential risks.
• Develop training and internal communications: Focused on hazard prevention and control.
• Analyze data: Use a risk-based approach to develop improvement plans.

Qualifications

Required:

• On-site role with solid understanding of Ontario H&S Act and O.Reg. 851
• Familiarity with CSA Z432, CSA Z460 standards, and hydrogen safety (asset)
• Experience with Ministry of Environment protocols (asset)
• College or university degree; HSE certification preferred
• Intermediate experience in industrial safety and risk controls
