Description

We are seeking a talented On-site Health, Safety, and Environment Lead to join our team at Accelera by Cummins Inc in Mississauga, Ontario.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

1. Promoting a positive safety culture through active safety awareness and coaching.
2. Engaging employees in developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs.
3. Providing technical expertise to improve hazard prevention and risk control measures.
4. Supporting daily operations by solving complex health, safety, and environment issues.
5. Leading hazard and risk assessments to identify improvements and compliance gaps.
6. Designing and maintaining hazard prevention and control systems.
7. Developing and leading training and internal communications on hazard prevention.
8. Evaluating data to develop improvement plans using a risk-based, data-driven approach.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

Degree from college, university, or equivalent. HSE-related degree or certification preferred.

Experience

Intermediate experience in industrial safety standards and risk control implementation. Minimal management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Ontario H&S Act and O.Reg. 851.
• Familiarity with CSA Z432 and CSA Z460 standards.
• Knowledge of Hydrogen safety is an asset.
• Experience with Ministry of Environment protocols is an asset.
