Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking Health Care Aides to support community-dwelling clients in Alberta. You will travel between patients, assist with meals, personal care, and activities of daily living while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

Structured training, flexible scheduling, and benefits are offered. The role emphasizes dignity, safety, and independence for clients in their homes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta.
  • Willingness to visit patient’s residences within a designated area.
  • Experience with personal hygiene care is an asset but not required.
  • Experience working with seniors and/or children is an asset.
  • Compassion and listening skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work every other weekend.
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background screening on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
  • Prepare meals and assist with mealtime.
  • Basic housekeeping duties.
  • Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
  • Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
  • Support for basic activities of daily living.
