Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Health Care Aide (HCA) to support clients at home. You will travel between patients, assist with meals, and provide daily living support.

Graduate from an Alberta Government-approved HCA program; willingness to visit residences; compassionate with strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling, benefits, and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta.
• Willingness to visit patient residences within a designated area.
• Criminal Background screening clearance upon hire.
• Experience with personal hygiene care is an asset but not required.
• Experience with seniors and/or children is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.

What you’ll do:

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day

What you bring:

• Graduate from a HCA program recognized and approved by the Government of Alberta

• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset but not necessary
