Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Manager, Trade Operations to lead a back-office settlements and treasury team in Toronto. You will directly handle trade settlement, SWIFT payments, cash movements, reconciliations and exception resolution while coaching a team of professionals.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in back-office trade operations, with hands-on Fixed Income settlements and experience with DTCC, Euroclear, or Clearstream.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in back-office Trade Operations or settlements in institutional environments.
• Hands-on experience with Fixed Income settlements, cash movements and payments.
• Strong SWIFT processing experience (MT103/MT202) and cash reconciliation.
• Exposure to custodians and global settlement infrastructure (DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream).
• Proven leadership experience; able to mentor and escalate when needed.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities to improve settlement efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fixed Income and credit trade settlements from affirmation to final funding.
• Execute and review SWIFT payments, wire settlements and treasury transactions.
• Investigate failed trades, settlement breaks, cash discrepancies and exceptions.
• Collaborate with custodians, brokers, counterparties, banks and settlement agents.
• Lead and coach Trade Operations staff while remaining hands-on during peak periods.
• Support reconciliations, controls and account maintenance across platforms.
• Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes and controls.
