Job summary

Lever, Inc. is a fully remote leadership role overseeing payments operations, fraud prevention, and team management in a fast-paced international environment.

You will lead end-to-end withdrawals, ensure secure and timely processing, and protect customers while driving operational excellence. You will build and coach a payments team, collaborate with product, risk, and support functions, shape payment strategy, implement robust controls, and continuously improve fraud detection and customer

Qualifications

• Experience in payments operations, fraud, risk, or transaction monitoring in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end withdrawal process with timely processing and service levels.
• Monitor liquidity and payout accuracy, and identify shortfalls.
• Track processing performance and act on spikes or issues.
• Identify and resolve payment-related issues end-to-end.
• Improve payment workflows for faster, reliable withdrawals.
• Monitor for fraud, abuse, and suspicious activity; escalate as needed.
• Investigate suspicious accounts/transactions and make Holds or escalations decisions.
• Strengthen controls by identifying vulnerabilities in promotions and payment processes.
• Adapt fraud controls to emerging patterns across crypto payments and online gaming.
• Balance fraud prevention with a smooth customer experience.
• Lead and develop the payments team, set priorities, and enforce quality standards.
• Coach team members on approvals, investigations, holds, and escalations.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback and support.
• Measure payout speed, accuracy, and fraud detection against KPIs.
• Collaborate with VIP, Support, Product, Business, and Portfolio teams to resolve issues.
• Share payment trends and risks with leadership and stakeholders.
