Job summary

CARET seeks an Infrastructure Manager in Toronto to lead a team responsible for robust, secure, and scalable private cloud services. The role oversees design, implementation, and maintenance of core infra across compute, storage, and networking for high availability and performance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in datacenter infra with 2+ years in leadership, strong networking, virtualization, RDS, Windows Server, and automation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years in datacenter infrastructure roles, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record managing infrastructure in a multi-datacenter environment.
• Strong background in networking, virtualization, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server, and automation tools or scripting.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of infrastructure engineers, fostering accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with peers in support, customer experience and engineering to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Manage the execution of infrastructure projects aligned with business goals and technology roadmap.
• Guide the procurement, installation, and configuration of compute, storage, and networking hardware.
• Oversee management of hardware, network & storage infrastructure including Cisco switches, Fortigate firewalls, HPE SANs and compute nodes.
• Ensure the stability and performance of Windows Server environments, Remote Desktop Services, including Active Directory.
• Drive automation of provisioning, configuration, and routine maintenance tasks using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensure infrastructure designs meet security and compliance standards (SOC 2).
• Proactively enhance monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues before they impact customers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.
• Manage a 24x7 on-call rotation and ensure the timely resolution of issues
