Blacksmith Agency is seeking an individual contributor Head of Business Development for Multifamily. You will own the largest multi-location deals, from initial meetings with ownership through signed contracts, targeting multifamily owners and property management groups across portfolios.

The role emphasizes closing high-value, strategic accounts with minimal management responsibilities and expansion opportunities once a group signs.

Qualifications

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Experience selling to multifamily owners or property management groups is preferred.
• Strong consultative selling with long, multi-stakeholder decision processes.

Responsabilités

• Own the full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at the table.
• Close multi-location deals where one signed agreement covers the whole group.
• Expand accounts to add more locations and services after signing.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to tailor proposals for top deals.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location multifamily accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios. As Head of Business Development for Multifamily, you own our largest multi-location multifamily deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: multifamily portfolios with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into multifamily groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
