Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is looking for a Sales Director for Multifamily to own the largest multi-location deals from initial meeting to signed contracts, often involving regional owners, operators and marketing leaders. This is an individual contributor role, remote (USA or Canada), with a $2M annual quota.

You will close strategic, multi-location deals with inbound leads and our sales development team, and there are no direct reports.

Qualifications

• Proven track record closing large, multi-location deals.
• Experience selling to multifamily groups or similar multi-location buyers.
• Comfort with long, consultative sales cycles and multiple decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for large multi-location deals from discovery to close over 3–12 months.
• Engage with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders at table.
• Expand: add locations and services after a group signs on.
• Collaborate with strategists and leadership to craft proposals for key deals.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios. As Sales Director for Multifamily, you own our largest multi-location multifamily deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with multifamily owners and property management groups running large portfolios, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: multifamily portfolios with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

• The full cycle on large deals: discovery, proposal, negotiation and close, over 3 to 12 months.
• Deals with owners, regional operators and marketing leaders all at the table.
• Expansion: more locations and more services once a group signs.
• Proposals built with our strategists and leadership for the deals that matter most.

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into multifamily groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
