Job summary

Reworld Solutions, LLC in Kitchener is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician II to operate on-site and at customer locations, handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste with oversight of safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires independent work, strong technical capabilities, and collaboration with transport teams.

Responsibilities include lab packing, regulatory documentation, and coordinating with leadership for handling special materials, while maintaining a clean and safe work

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; 2–5 years in hazardous waste management, environmental services, or related field preferred.
• Must hold a valid Class G driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
• Willing to travel to customer sites, up to 15% travel, including overnight.
• TDG knowledge and Ontario regulatory familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and compliant execution of lab pack projects and proper packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.
• Independently manage customer-site projects, including waste identification, inventory collection, lab packing, and client communication.
• Ensure waste packaging, labeling, documentation, and transportation compliance with TDG, regulations, and procedures.
• Prepare shipping documentation, manifests, and related records.
• Identify highly reactive or unstable chemicals and coordinate action plans with leadership for these materials.
• Oversee loading/unloading of inbound and outbound shipments and ensure quality control of wastes.
