Job summary

Clean Harbors in Guelph, ON is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their safety conscious team in Field Services. This role involves hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, and handling of hazardous materials, with travel across Ontario.

You will perform environmental remediation, tank and vessel cleaning, confined space work, and operate powered equipment while following strict health and safety practices. A valid G-class license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G license with reliable transportation required.
• Willingness to travel across Ontario as needed.
• Previous labour or hazardous waste removal experience is highly preferred.
• Industrial cleaning and chemical handling experience is an asset.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and moving materials.
• Willingness to be trained for confined space entry and work at heights.
• Must be clean-shaven when required to ensure proper respirator fit and use.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Perform environmental remediation, hazardous waste management, and chemical/water spill cleanups.
• Conduct tank and vessel cleaning, including confined space entry and work at heights.
• Complete labor-intensive field service projects and emergency response activities.
• Safely use hand tools, pressure washers, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• This role is based out of our Guelph, ON head office – however, it requires flexibility to travel throughout Ontario.
