The Hazardous Waste Technician II (HWT II) is an intermediate-level position within the Hazardous materials operations at Reworld Kitchener. The HWT II will be experienced and capable of conducting hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment utilizing the various technologies and chemicals available to them with minimal supervision. The HWT II will be proficient in handling, sorting, and consolidating hazardous materials received in the plant and onsite at customers’ locations. The HWT II is responsible for the identification, segregation, packaging, labeling, and transportation preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical waste in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Ontario regulatory requirements, and Reworld procedures. Working independently on site and at customer locations including hospitals, laboratories, universities, manufacturing facilities, and industrial sites, the Technician serves as a technical resource while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient waste management solutions.

The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 28.94 - 38.46 CAD per hour
