Job summary

Magna International in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handler to offload, stage, verify and organize inbound and outbound material. The role requires lift truck operation certification, adherence to FIFO and safe material handling practices.

You will ensure accurate documentation and maintain a clean, organized work area in a fast-paced team environment. The position offers a hourly wage of 22.09 CAD with opportunities to contribute to ongoing manufacturing support and KPI

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to pass and maintain lift truck operator certification and medical
• Must be able to read and write English
• Computer literate
• Good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer raw material, work in process, and component parts to designated storage areas to support manufacturing.
• Maintain proper FIFO and stack height restrictions.
• Communicate FIFO/stack height violations and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Ensure trailers are secured prior to loading/offloading material.
• Conduct FIFO/shelf life audits as directed by supervisor.
• Operate lift truck in a safe manner; complete daily lift truck checks.
• Verify inbound/outbound shipments and receipts; notify Material Department of discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area with daily housekeeping.
• Assist in packing outbound shipments and cycle counting as directed.
