Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Guelph, Ontario, is seeking an interim production scheduler. This six-month temporary role develops daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory needs and manufacturing capacity, with a focus on efficiency and on-time delivery.

You will monitor performance, adjust plans, coordinate with RAW material supplier and E-COAT, Paint and Assembly teams, analyze KPIs, and participate in continuous improvement projects while maintaining accurate inventory

Qualifications

• Immediate, open temporary six-month position.
• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in inventory/production control or scheduling.
• Experience with MAPICS is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory requirements, and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as necessary to address changes in demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, or labor constraints.
• Coordinate with RAW material supplier to ensure material availability aligns with production plans.
• Collaborate with leadership in E-COAT, Paint and Assembly to optimize production flow and resource utilization.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify scheduling improvements and efficiency opportunities.
• Communicate schedule changes and priorities to E-COAT, Paint and Assembly teams in a timely manner.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and conduct cycle counts / audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on productivity and operational efficiency.
• Generate and distribute production schedules, reports, and performance metrics as required.
• Assist in capacity planning and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate hanger cleaning activities and work with the production team to establish shipping and receiving timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
