Job summary

Magna Powertrain in Canada is seeking a skilled technician to drive technical effectiveness in a busy manufacturing environment. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, support CNC operators with tooling changes, and perform precise machine setups on a variety of equipment.

Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities are essential as you contribute to continuous improvement and TPM initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified with a technical diploma/degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, automation, controls, CNC or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC programming and setup.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with maintenance, tooling, QA, engineering and production to support parts and improvement projects.
  • Train CNC operators on tooling changes and offset adjustments.
  • Perform equipment setups, tooling changes, and routine maintenance.
  • Identify process/tooling improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Lead Kaizen events and TPM activities and monitor equipment effectiveness.
  • Maintain 5S standards and safe, organized work areas.
