Job summary

Net Zero Atlantic in Halifax, Nova Scotia, seeks a Community Solar Coordinator to advance community-owned solar projects. You will support the NS Department of Energy's Community Solar Program and Net Zero Atlantic's funding program, coordinating applications, documentation, and stakeholder communications.

The role is full-time, fixed-term (12–19 months), with a hybrid work arrangement and reporting to the Manager of the Community Solar Program.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, administration, project management, environmental studies, engineering, science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of coordination, administration, project support, or related experience.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines, including maintaining project plans, trackers, records, and related documentation.
• Experience supporting contribution agreements, grants, funding agreements, budgets, financial administration, or other program-related processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with project, financial, administrative, and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively with others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community solar program applications, funding agreements, and related program administration activities.
• Support project monitoring, reporting, risk identification, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, records, and program documentation.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, webinars, stakeholder engagement activities, and site visits.
• Prepare reports, briefing materials, presentations, and program updates.
• Support research and analysis related to renewable energy and community solar development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of program processes, resources, templates, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support successful program delivery.
