Job summary

Manulife, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a Manager, GWAM Business Risk Management in Toronto. This role supports executing the GWAM RCSA program, partnering with process owners, control owners, and leaders to facilitate risk activities and maintain risk inventories.

The position emphasizes training, guidance, and a strong risk culture across GWAM units. The Manager will lead risk assessments, attestations, and control testing, delivering reports and dashboards to governance

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in Operational Risk, Internal Controls, Audit or related in financial services.
• Experience facilitating Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), risk assessments, and control effectiveness reviews.
• Strong knowledge of Wealth Management and/or Asset Management businesses, products, operations, and risks.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of GWAM Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program per enterprise standards.
• Facilitate inherent risk assessments with business stakeholders to identify and document risks.
• Conduct RCSAs including risk identification, control documentation, and remediation monitoring.
• Maintain Archer process hierarchies, risk and control inventories, and supporting docs.
• Execute control effectiveness testing programs and document results.
• Track remediation activities arising from testing, reviews, and audits.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for governance committees.
• Provide guidance on risk management standards and documentation requirements.
• Facilitate risk assessment workshops and cross-unit meetings.
• Identify emerging risks and control weaknesses to improve the control environment.
• Assist with regulatory examinations and audits with supporting documentation.
• Deliver training on risk management practices and RCSA methodology.
• Promote a strong risk culture and proactive risk identification.
