Job summary

BCAA is seeking a skilled Guidewire Cloud Developer to help transform our Guidewire environment and support scalable, secure insurance technology solutions.

You will work closely with business, technology, and vendor partners to implement and extend Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, integrate with internal systems, and contribute to cloud migration efforts. The role requires hands-on Gosu/Java development and a passion for secure, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Guidewire development experience or Guidewire platform support.
  • Active Guidewire ACE Certification.
  • Experience configuring and extending Guidewire applications using Guidewire Studio.
  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key technical contributor on Guidewire Cloud Platform.
  • Review technical designs, configurations, and integrations for alignment with requirements.
  • Configure Guidewire PCF, workflows, and data model changes in Studio.
  • Design and support integrations via APIs and messaging.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, QA, and vendor teams.
  • Support testing, defect triage, and production stabilization.
  • Promote development standards, quality, and maintainability.

Working closely with business, technology, and vendor partners, you'll provide technical expertise across Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, support cloud migration activities, and help establish BCAA's long-term internal Guidewire development capability.**Who You Are*** A collaborative and solutions-focused developer with a passion for designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions.* A technical expert who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on configuration and development.* A strong communicator who can effectively partner with business stakeholders, architects, vendors, and technical teams.* A proactive problem solver who thrives in complex environments and can navigate ambiguity.* A quality-focused professional who values secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.* A team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.**What You'll Do*** Act as a key technical contributor supporting Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter on the Guidewire Cloud Platform.* Review and validate technical designs, configurations, integrations, and cloud solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements and platform standards.* Configure and enhance Guidewire applications using Guidewire Studio, including PCF configuration, workflows, rules, and data model changes.* Design and support integrations between Guidewire and internal or external systems using APIs, messaging, and integration frameworks.* Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, QA, and vendor teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.* Support defect triage, root cause analysis, testing activities, and production stabilization efforts.* Conduct code reviews and promote development standards, quality, performance, and maintainability best practices.* Contribute to Guidewire development standards, integration patterns, and cloud best practices.* Support knowledge transfer activities to help build and mature BCAA's internal Guidewire capability.* Apply secure engineering practices across integrations and application development activities.* Champion platform stability, observability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Stay current with Guidewire Cloud capabilities and industry best practices to support ongoing platform evolution.**What You'll Bring*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.* 3+ years of experience in Guidewire development, cloud implementation, integrations, or Guidewire platform support.* Active Guidewire ACE Certification.* Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter.* Proven experience configuring and extending Guidewire applications using Guidewire Studio.* Strong proficiency in Gosu and Java with a solid foundation in object-oriented programming.* Experience developing integrations using REST and/or SOAP APIs.* Knowledge of event-driven, messaging, and batch integration approaches.* Experience designing and documenting end-to-end technical solutions.* Strong code review, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.* Experience applying secure development practices and API security standards.* Familiarity with Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, estimation, and dependency management.* Ability to partner effectively with QA teams to support functional, regression, integration, and performance testing activities.**Nice to Have:*** Experience with APD.* Experience working with Guidewire Cloud Platform implementations or migrations.* Experience with containerized deployment and runtime technologies.* Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance processes and systems.* Experience supporting enterprise cloud-based insurance platforms.The salary range for this position is $94,377.36 to $117,971.76and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity.
