Job summary

Sandman Hotel Group is seeking a Guest Service Agent in Canada to be the face of our hotels, delivering exceptional guest experiences and solving problems on the spot. You will handle check-ins/outs, assist guests with needs, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere across our properties.

The role requires strong customer service, effective communication, and a solid understanding of hotel operations, with the flexibility of full-time and part-time shifts.

Qualifications

• Two-year apprenticeship in front desk operations or hotel management preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a hotel front desk clerk preferred.
• Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
• Ability to analyze and interpret client needs and offer appropriate options and resolutions.
• Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, welcoming environment for guests.
• Check guests in and out of the hotel.
• Assist with luggage and distribute keys and information.
• Answer questions and arrange transportation for guests.
• Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person; book reservations.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and process refunds.
