Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is seeking a dedicated delivery driver to move food, banquet equipment and supplies between hotel loading docks in a secure, timely manner. You will assist all departments with on-site deliveries, ensure daily vehicle inspections, maintain clean trucks and loading docks, and support Health & Safety initiatives while upholding environmental policies.

This role requires a valid Alberta Class 5 license, physical endurance and flexibility to work

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license and a current driver's abstract free of serious demerit points.
• Self-motivated with the ability to make effective decisions.
• Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure.
• Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including bending, heavy lifting and carrying heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware, china and chemicals between all loading docks of the hotel.
• Assist all departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel.
• Ensuring daily inspection of the vehicle is filled out and report any damages.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks.
• Participate in the removal of garbage & recycling according to hotel and Parks Canada rules.
• Participating in departmental meetings
• Ensuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of guest satisfaction
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
• Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

Hourly Wage: $23.59

What you will be doing:

• Drive, load and unload food, banquet equipment, glassware, china and chemicals between all loading docks of the hotel in a secure and timely manner.
• Assist all departments with special deliveries on site or outside of the hotel.
• Ensuring daily inspection of the vehicle is filled out and report any damages.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the delivery truck and loading docks.
• Participate in the removal of garbage & recycling according to the rules set in place by the hotel and Parks Canada.
• Participating in departmental meetings
• Ensuring inter-departmental communication and cooperation in the interest of better guest satisfaction
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
• Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned

Your skillset includes:

• Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) and must obtain a current driver's abstract free of any serious demerit points
• Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions
• Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
• Physically able to carry out the demands of the position including, bending, heavy lifting and carrying heavy items
• Able to push, pull extremely heavy carts in and out of the truck
• Able to lift up equipment up to 50lbs often during the workday
