Job summary

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) is hiring a Server for Mamaqtuq Restaurant Ltd., a flagship IRC dining venture in Inuvik. You will greet guests, take orders, present menu options, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain a welcoming, clean dining area while using the POS system.

Shift schedules vary (morning and evening, weekdays and weekends). Training and certification costs are covered; IFA beneficiaries get priority consideration. Benefits include vacation pay and wellness support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant setting is an asset.
• Safe Serve certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage seating and waitlists.
• Provide attentive service, present menu options and recommendations.
• Ensure order accuracy and address guest inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area and uphold the restaurant's reputation.
• Operate the POS system to process orders and payments.
• Assist with reservations and coordinate seating arrangements.
• Communicate with team members to ensure smooth service.
• Respond to guest inquiries regarding reservations and policies.
• Follow health and safety rules.
