Job summary

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) through Mamaqtuq Restaurant is seeking a Dishwasher to join the kitchen team in Inuvik. This role focuses on cleaning dishes, assisting with food preparation, and keeping the kitchen organized to support cooks and servers.

You will work across morning and evening shifts, with weekday and weekend availability. Prior kitchen or food service experience is preferred, and candidates must be able to stand, lift, and work quickly in a busy environment.

JOB SUMMARY

The Dishwasher is an important part of the kitchen team. This role involves cleaning dishes, utensils, and equipment, helping with food preparation, and keeping the kitchen organized. The Dishwasher supports cooks and servers to ensure smooth operations and a positive experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Assist with basic food prep and kitchen organization.
• Receive, unpack, and store products properly.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols.
• Help with catering and special events when needed.
• Follow health and safety rules.

Shift Times:

Dishwasher positions are scheduled across multiple shifts. While the current shift structure is outlined below, please note that it may be adjusted based on operational needs. Applicants must be available to work a combination of the following shifts:

• Morning Shifts
  • Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Weekends (Sat-Sun): 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Evening Shifts
  • Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Weekends (Sat-Sun): 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on restaurant needs. Please indicate your availability for shifts in your application.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting.
